KEEPING THE FAITH

I had planned a couple of things to post today, so I went through my personal notes looking for something about hair that I had written down or even my video on twists. But I just couldn’t bring myself to posting it then, I stumbled across something I wrote down a while ago and  I have decided to share this not because of the pain, but because I know these words would help someone out there. This piece was written on the 12th of April, 2017.


I think we are allowed to get worried, we are allowed to get angry, we are allowed to get scared and sometimes we aren't even in control of our emotions. Smiling through the pain shows how strong one is, but it's hard to smile!
We have dreams that we want to become reality! 


These thoughts are beyond me! Tears don't solve the problem, nor does it take the pain away! I want to be far away, I want to fly and explore the world. Trying to find the path is hard but with My faith all things are possible 💪🏾


Often times when go through phases and we are unable to find the right words to express them, Write those thoughts down. In your own time, if you’re comfortable talk about it with someone. In Brene Brown’s book rising strong, she calls it the shitty first draft. (SFD). In this draft you let the childlike part of you channel whatever voices and visions come through and onto the page. I really want anyone going through a rough time to believe that with time things would get better. I have a far from perfect life but I have chosen to take it one day at a time knowing that,
If you can FAITH IT, you can MAKE IT. (P.S I have this sign hanging on my wall as a reminder)

  1. Thank you, it’s great that I got to read this article at a time like this. It at least tells me that I’m not alone when I feel like nothing is working like it should. I want to believe like you said in this article that things will get better, so I’m going to FAITH IT TILL I MAKE IT! I’ve found great comfort in writing my emotions down whenever I feel overwhelmed and it helps to an extent. Ive also found it helpful to write whenever I have really good days so that i can store up some positivity by reading it again when I have a not so good day. You can try it too. Love, Martina.
