DOES DRINKING HOT WATER AND LEMON ACTUALLY HAVE BENEFITS FOR YOUR SKIN?
Could this be the secret to your best skin ever?
Everyone who has good skin from cosmetic brands CEO's to wellness experts attests a little bit of this to drinking warm water and lemon in the morning, I have done this for a while but I have no idea if it actually works and I decided to put this to the test and actually see if I notice a difference. I'll be monitoring my skin for the next 20 days to see if I can actually see a difference and then I can recommend whether or not there is truth behind this or if it is just another cool girl myth.
WHAT I WILL BE LOOKING OUT FOR
Brighter and more even skin - According to Draxe.com, drinking hot water with lemon in the morning increases vitamin c content in the body which indirectly brightens your skin, as someone who's primary skincare concern is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation I would love to see if this could actually help my skin.
Smoother skin - According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition drinking hot water and lemon should give me smoother skin as it promotes collagen production, every student like me who is stressed from studying knows that premature stress-induced wrinkles are a thing, and hopefully, this will banish it.
Here is what my skin currently looks like:
I will update you in 20 days with what my skin looks like, are there any skincare myths you'd like me to test? Let me know in the comments section :)
